Penny Morrison spent many years scouring antique markets in England and France collecting antique fabrics, feeding her passion for the remarkable colours and designs of Turkish Ottoman embroidery. Over the past five years she has been researching and experimenting with different dyeing techniques in order to develop her own range of fabrics with wonderful original colours, all hand printed on linen, drawing on the Ottoman influence. John Laflin (Design Director at Liberty of London Prints from 1974 to 1998 and codirector of Nicole Fabre designs) works closely with Penny on the designs and the fabrics are distributed in the United Kingdom by Nicole Fabre Designs in Norfolk.
For the past twenty-five years Penny Morrison has worked as an interior designer in Britain, Africa, America and Europe using an eclectic style based on her belief that rooms should be liveable and not showpieces.
